Do you help with financing?

How long does the franchise agreement last?

Can I speak with your current franchisees? And I can choose who to talk to?

Definitely! We encourage you to reach out to our current Device Pitstop franchisees to get answers to even more of your questions. In the Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD), you will receive a long list of owners that you are free to contact. How much control do I have over my store?

It is your business. We provide you with NTY Franchise Company’s proven, profitable business model, but you have control over your Device Pitstop store(s). Watch this short video of our VP of Franchising answering this very question: 

How long does it take to open a store?

The typical length of time between signing your Franchise Agreement and the opening of your store varies from 6 to 12 months. Click here to see more information about the timeline to open a Device Pitstop.

Will you help me find a location?

Will you help me with the layout of my store?

Do you provide training? Who pays for it?

As you proceed toward your store opening, you will receive specialized training at our corporate headquarters, at our corporate store, and on-site at your store. All training is free, however, you are responsible for any travel costs (airfare, lodging, food, etc.) for training at our corporate headquarters. Do you provide assistance to me after my store is open?

Yes! You will be assigned a Regional Operations Manager (ROM), who will be your small business consultant throughout the life of your business. What marketing support do you provide?

Do you have regular conferences for franchisees?

Yes! We hold annual conferences for franchisees to come together to discuss business, participate in various training sessions and learn about new initiatives for the brand. 

Is it difficult to get inventory for my store?

You will purchase much of your inventory directly from the customers that visit your store. What can I sell and what can I not sell?

We have a detailed list of the items we buy, sell, trade and repair in our training materials.  A high-level explanation would be: laptops, desktops, smartphones, tablets, iPods and game consoles.

How will I know what to pay for merchandise?

We have a sophisticated point-of-sale (POS) system that provides suggested pricing for product acquisition. The system also creates many financial reports that help you to manage and grow your business. Click here to learn more about our POS system. Is it challenging to keep up with all of the new devices and technology that people want?

The constantly changing nature of the tech industry is good for our business! Device Pitstop’s product and service offerings are flexible, which allows stores to quickly and easily ebb and flow right along with trends and hot products.

How will I deal with bookkeeping for my store?

Our POS system is integrated with QuickBooks, which streamlines your bookkeeping process and makes it very easy for you.

What are typical store hours?

Our suggested business hours are Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.; Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; Sunday, 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
