Simple six-step process

The following is our simple four-step process. If you haven’t already done so, start by downloading our free franchise information brochure on any page of this website, review it to learn the basics and then call us to set up a Step 1 webinar so you can begin learning much more.

Step One

Schedule and attend private meeting

This personal, live web meeting is a brief but very thorough overview of the brand. The main topics covered are:

  • The history of NTY Franchise Company.
  • What the brand represents to both the consumer and to the franchisee(store owner)
  • Where the brand fits into the marketplace and why the stores thrive.
  • How the franchisee/franchisor relationship really works and our culture.

Step Two

Qualify and meet brand director

After receiving your completed application and you are considered pre-qualified, an information phone call is scheduled with the Brand Director: The Brand Director will highlight many brand developments and discuss current initiatives being implemented to further grow bottom line results store owners. In addition, that is a great opportunity to get more of your questions answered.

Step Three

Review the FDD and questions answered

In a addition to the lists provided in the FDD, we can also provide you with a contact information list of franchisees who have opted in and volunteered their personal time to speak with you for a more in depth conversation. We will also cover territory protection with you in a short mapping session of your market area.

Step Four

Validations, research and territory protection

Step Five

Attend discovery day

Not a decision-making day, but rather a one-day orientation covering our franchise services. It’s held at our corporate headquarters in Minneapolis, Minnesota and takes place before you make any decision on your new business. You’ll meet Clothes Mentor’s key personnel, who will present you with concise overviews of all the tools that we provide our franchisees to become successful business owners.

Step Six

Award the franchise

This is the final step in the franchise process where franchises are awarded to qualified candidates.

How much does it cost?

Do you help with financing?

How long does the franchise agreement last?

Can I speak with your current franchisees? And I can choose who to talk to?

Definitely! We encourage you to reach out to our current franchisees to get answers to even more of your questions. How much control do I have over my store?

How long does it take to open a store?

Will you help me find a location?

Will you help me with the layout of my store?

Do you provide assistance to me after my store is open?

Yes! You will be assigned a Regional Operations Manager (ROM), who will be your small business consultant throughout the life of your business. Do you provide training? Who pays for it?

As you proceed toward your store opening, you will receive specialized training at our corporate headquarters, at our corporate store, and on-site at your store. All training is free, however, you are responsible for any travel costs (airfare, lodging, food, etc.) for training at our corporate headquarters. What marketing support do you provide?

Do you have regular conferences for franchisees?

Yes! We hold annual conferences for franchisees to come together to discuss business, participate in various training sessions and learn about new initiatives for the brand.

Where do I get my inventory?

How will I know what to pay for merchandise?

We have a sophisticated point-of-sale (POS) system that provides suggested pricing for product acquisition. The system also creates many financial reports that help you to manage and grow your business. Click here to learn more about our POS system. How will I deal with bookkeeping for my store?

Our POS system is integrated with QuickBooks, which streamlines your bookkeeping process and makes it very easy for you.

What are typical store hours?

Our suggested business hours are Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.; Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; Sunday, 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
